Grand Slammer. The Complete AR-15 Rifleman (Oct. 2009)

PDFPrintE-mail

Here's a review by Paul Markel of our Gen-2 T1 Ultralite upper.  The Gen-3 Tactilites are, of course, far better.  The Gen-2 uppers featured welded receivers.  While welding offers the advantage of easy construction and low cost, it is practically impossible to perfectly align each element and assures an inferior product.  The Gen-3 uppers are machined from a solid piece of steel.  This allows us to integrate each element (scope rail, barrel extension, etc.), which is stronger and more accurate.  Sure, it costs more to produce, but none of that cost has been passed on to the consumer.

The Gen-3s are available in your choice of .50 BMG, .338 Lapua and .416 Barrett.  Also, choose from T1 single shot conversion kit and T2 mag-fed conversion kit.
